Job Description
We are searching for an exceptional and dedicated Live-in Nanny to provide comprehensive childcare for our two wonderful children, aged 3 and 6, at our private residence in Gisagara, Southern Province. Key Responsibilities
- Provide full-time, attentive care for two children aged 3 and 6, including supervision, emotional support, and engaging activities.
- Plan and execute age-appropriate educational games, creative crafts, and outdoor play to promote holistic development.
- Prepare healthy and nutritious meals and snacks for the children, adhering to any dietary requirements or preferences.
- Assist with homework, reading, and school projects for the older child, fostering a love for learning.
- Maintain children's rooms and play areas, ensuring they are tidy, organized, and safe.
- Manage children's laundry and ensure their clothes are clean and organized.
- Establish and maintain consistent daily routines for meals, naps, play, and bedtime.
- Accompany children to school, appointments, playdates, and extracurricular activities as needed.
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and manage minor ailments.
- Communicate regularly and openly with parents regarding children's progress, activities, and any concerns.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for the children at all times, both indoors and outdoors.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a Nanny or Childcare Provider, preferably in a live-in setting.
- Demonstrable knowledge of child development stages and age-appropriate activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both with children and adults.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Ability to create a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment.
- Organizational skills for managing children's schedules and belongings.
- Basic cooking skills for preparing child-friendly meals.
- Fluency in Kinyarwanda and working proficiency in English (French is a plus).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Experience with multiple children in a family setting.
- References from previous childcare positions.
- Valid driver's license (not essential but a bonus).
