Guzol Nigeria Limited is pleased to recruit on behalf of a prominent family in Dutse Alhaji, Abuja, for a dedicated Live-in Domestic/Household Driver. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual committed to providing safe, punctual, and professional transportation services. The ideal candidate will be an integral part of the household, responsible for the daily transportation needs of family members, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times. This role goes beyond just driving; it requires a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance, careful planning of routes, and the utmost discretion. You will be expected to manage schedules efficiently, run errands, and maintain the assigned vehicle to impeccable standards. Living on-site, you will be readily available to meet the family’s transportation requirements, often with short notice. We are looking for someone with an impeccable driving record, an excellent knowledge of Abuja’s road networks, and a polite, respectful demeanor. Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe and timely transportation for family members to various destinations, including school, work, appointments, and social engagements.
- Maintain the assigned vehicle(s) in excellent working condition, including regular cleaning, routine inspections, and coordinating necessary servicing or repairs.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes, considering traffic conditions and time constraints, to ensure punctuality.
- Perform various errands such as grocery shopping, dry cleaning pickup, and other household-related tasks as required.
- Ensure the security and safety of all passengers, adhering strictly to traffic laws and defensive driving principles.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding the family's personal affairs and daily activities.
- Keep accurate records of vehicle maintenance, fuel consumption, and journeys.
- Be available for driving duties as per the family's schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends.
- Assist with loading and unloading luggage or packages as needed.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class B minimum)
- Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience (domestic or corporate)
- Impeccable driving record with no history of serious accidents or traffic violations
- Excellent knowledge of Abuja road networks and alternative routes
- Basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting skills
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and reliability
- High level of discretion and trustworthiness
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to use GPS navigation systems effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Secondary School Certificate (SSCE/GCE)
- Defensive driving certification
