Key Responsibilities
- Assist library patrons with locating books, resources, and information.
- Manage circulation duties, including checking books in and out, renewing items, and handling reserves.
- Register new library members and explain library policies and services.
- Maintain the organization and tidiness of library shelves and public areas.
- Process new book arrivals, including cataloguing and shelving.
- Support the delivery of library programs and events for various age groups.
- Answer telephone inquiries and provide basic technical assistance with library equipment.
- Ensure a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment for all library users.
- Handle cash transactions for fines or purchases as required.
- Assist with inter-library loan requests and resource retrieval.
