Job Description
As a Learning and Development Specialist at Santander UK in Milton Keynes, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth across our diverse workforce. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive learning needs assessments to identify skill gaps and development opportunities across various departments.
- Design, develop, and implement engaging learning programs and materials, including e-learning modules, workshops, and instructor-led training sessions.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops for employees at all levels, fostering an interactive and effective learning environment.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather content and ensure accuracy and relevance of training materials.
- Manage and administer the Learning Management System (LMS), including content uploads, user management, and reporting.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, making data-driven improvements.
- Stay abreast of L&D best practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends to continuously enhance our learning offerings.
- Support the creation of individual development plans and career pathways for employees.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth throughout the organisation.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a Learning & Development Specialist or similar role.
- Strong instructional design and content creation skills.
- Excellent facilitation and presentation abilities, with a capacity to engage diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate).
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to conduct needs assessments and translate findings into effective learning solutions.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Organisational Development, or a related field.
- CIPD qualification or other relevant L&D certifications.
- Experience working within the financial services industry or a large corporate environment.
- Knowledge of adult learning theories and their practical application.
- Experience with blended learning approaches and digital learning innovation.
