Choice Suites Akoka is actively seeking a meticulous and experienced Laundry Supervisor to lead our dedicated laundry team. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the hotel laundry department, including washing, drying, pressing, and folding of all linen, towels, and uniforms.
- Ensure all items are processed according to established quality and hygiene standards, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Manage laundry staff, including scheduling, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of linen, chemicals, and supplies, initiating requisitions as needed to prevent stockouts and manage costs effectively.
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment, performing minor troubleshooting and coordinating with maintenance for major repairs to minimize downtime.
- Implement and enforce all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the laundry department, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Monitor chemical usage and ensure proper dosing for optimal cleaning efficiency and adherence to environmental guidelines.
- Conduct regular quality checks on laundered items, ensuring consistency and adherence to brand standards and guest expectations.
- Prepare daily and weekly operational reports for management, highlighting performance, inventory status, and any challenges encountered.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for laundry processes and equipment, seeking innovative ways to enhance efficiency and quality.
