Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the hotel laundry department, ensuring efficient workflow and timely processing of all items.
- Manage a team of laundry attendants, including scheduling, training, performance evaluation, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Oversee the meticulous sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and folding of all hotel linens, towels, guest clothing, and staff uniforms.
- Implement and rigorously enforce quality control standards to ensure all processed items meet the highest cleanliness, stain-free, and presentation criteria.
- Conduct regular inventory checks of linen supplies, laundry chemicals, and departmental equipment, preparing timely requisitions to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety and sanitation protocols, including the proper handling of chemicals and the safe operation of all laundry machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and minor troubleshooting on laundry equipment, coordinating with the maintenance department for major repairs as required.
- Develop and implement efficient laundry procedures to minimize waste, reduce energy consumption, and optimize operational costs.
- Maintain accurate records of laundry production, linen usage, and chemical consumption for reporting purposes.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Laundry Supervisor or a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry (minimum 3 years).
- Strong technical knowledge of various fabric types, washing techniques, chemical applications, and industrial laundry equipment.
- Exceptional leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial laundry machinery effectively.
- Outstanding organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
- Proficiency in inventory management, record-keeping, and basic computer applications.
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations and hygiene standards in a commercial laundry environment.
