Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of laundry staff, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timelines.
- Oversee the sorting, washing, drying, folding, and pressing of all hotel linen, uniforms, and guest laundry.
- Inspect finished laundry for quality and cleanliness, ensuring all items meet hotel standards.
- Manage laundry inventory, including chemicals, supplies, and linen, and place orders as needed.
- Operate and maintain all laundry equipment, performing minor repairs and coordinating major repairs with technicians.
- Develop and implement efficient laundry procedures and schedules.
- Train new laundry staff members on proper techniques, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Handle guest laundry requests and resolve any related issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Prepare daily and weekly reports on laundry production, expenses, and inventory.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a commercial or hotel laundry operation, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of laundry equipment, chemicals, and processes.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
