Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the hotel laundry department, including washing, drying, pressing, folding, and sorting of all hotel linens, uniforms, and guest laundry.
- Ensure adherence to all hotel standards, policies, and procedures regarding laundry operations, hygiene, safety, and quality control.
- Train, motivate, and manage laundry staff, including scheduling shifts, assigning tasks, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Oversee the proper use and maintenance of all laundry equipment, chemicals, and supplies, arranging for repairs as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels of linen and laundry supplies, placing orders and managing stock to prevent shortages or excesses.
- Implement and maintain efficient laundry processes to optimize productivity, reduce waste, and manage operational costs.
- Inspect all laundered items for cleanliness, damage, and proper presentation before distribution.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints related to laundry services promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of laundry production, chemical usage, and equipment maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Laundry Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within a hotel or hospitality setting.
- In-depth knowledge of various fabric types, laundry chemicals, and industrial laundry equipment operation.
