Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of laundry staff, ensuring efficient and timely processing of all hotel linens, uniforms, and guest laundry.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures for washing, drying, pressing, folding, and storing of all textile items.
- Inspect finished laundry for quality, ensuring all items meet the hotel's cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Manage inventory of laundry supplies, chemicals, and equipment, placing orders as needed to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Conduct regular training sessions for laundry staff on proper machinery usage, safety protocols, and chemical handling.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of laundry equipment, coordinating with technicians for timely servicing and troubleshooting.
- Monitor and control laundry operational costs, including utility consumption, chemical usage, and labor expenses.
- Liaise effectively with the Housekeeping and other relevant departments to ensure timely delivery and collection of linens.
- Maintain accurate records of laundry production, damaged items, and inventory counts.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development among staff.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Laundry Supervisor or similar role within a hotel or large-scale commercial laundry.
- Strong knowledge of laundry machinery, chemicals, and fabric care techniques.
