Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Laundry Supervisor to oversee all aspects of our hotel’s laundry operations within the Housekeeping department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and guest satisfaction by managing the daily activities of the laundry team. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong leadership capabilities, and a comprehensive understanding of commercial laundry equipment and processes. You will play a critical role in maintaining the pristine condition of all hotel linens, uniforms, and guest laundry, directly contributing to the overall guest experience. Your responsibilities will span from managing inventory and quality control to staff training and adherence to safety protocols. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the hotel laundry facility, ensuring efficient workflow and timely processing of linens.
- Inspect all laundered items for cleanliness, quality, and proper folding/pressing, adhering to established hotel standards.
- Manage inventory of linens, detergents, chemicals, and other laundry supplies, initiating requisitions as needed to prevent shortages.
- Train, mentor, and motivate laundry staff, ensuring adherence to safety procedures, operating standards, and productivity targets.
- Operate and troubleshoot commercial laundry equipment, performing minor maintenance and coordinating with external technicians for major repairs.
- Implement and monitor energy-saving practices and sustainable laundry methods.
- Maintain accurate records of laundry production, chemical usage, and staff attendance.
- Collaborate closely with the Housekeeping Manager and other department heads to meet operational needs and resolve any issues promptly.
- Ensure all laundry activities comply with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in laundry operations, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
