As Laundry Supervisor, you will oversee all aspects of our in-house laundry operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to health and safety regulations. You will be responsible for the daily supervision of laundry staff, managing linen inventory, operating and maintaining laundry equipment, and implementing best practices to optimize processes. Your day will involve planning daily wash schedules, inspecting washed items for quality, managing chemical usage, and ensuring all laundry equipment is functioning optimally. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the hotel laundry facility, including washing, drying, folding, ironing, and delivery of linens and uniforms.
- Train, schedule, and manage laundry staff, ensuring adherence to productivity standards and company policies.
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels of all linen, towels, and uniforms, conducting regular stock counts.
- Operate and perform routine maintenance checks on laundry machinery, reporting any malfunctions promptly.
- Ensure proper use and storage of laundry chemicals and detergents, adhering to safety guidelines and environmental regulations.
- Inspect all laundered items for cleanliness, quality, and repair needs, ensuring items meet hotel standards before distribution.
- Develop and implement efficient laundry procedures to minimize waste and maximize turnaround time.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the laundry department.
- Handle guest and internal department inquiries regarding laundry services professionally and efficiently.
- Prepare daily and weekly reports on laundry operations, including consumption and productivity.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Laundry Supervisor or similar role in a hotel setting.
- Strong knowledge of industrial laundry equipment operation and basic maintenance.
- Expertise in various fabric types, stain removal, and appropriate washing techniques.
