Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the laundry department, including washing, drying, pressing, and folding of all hotel linens, uniforms, and guest laundry.
- Ensure all laundry items are processed according to established quality standards, hygiene protocols, and turnaround times.
- Train, schedule, and supervise laundry attendants, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Monitor and maintain laundry equipment, conducting routine checks and arranging for repairs when necessary to ensure optimal functionality.
- Manage inventory of laundry supplies, chemicals, and linen stock, placing orders as needed to prevent shortages.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures and guidelines within the laundry area.
- Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure all linens meet the hotel's cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Develop and implement efficient laundry procedures to minimize waste and maximize productivity.
- Handle guest laundry requests and inquiries with professionalism and discretion.
- Collaborate with the Housekeeping Manager and other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of laundry processing, chemical usage, and linen inventory.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in laundry operations, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of various fabric types, washing methods, stain removal, and pressing techniques.
- Familiarity with industrial laundry equipment operation and basic maintenance.
