Key Responsibilities
- Sort and categorize soiled laundry items, including linens, towels, and staff uniforms, according to fabric type, color, and cleaning requirements.
- Load and operate industrial washing, drying, and ironing machines safely and efficiently, following manufacturer instructions and hotel guidelines.
- Monitor laundry cycles and adjust settings as needed to ensure optimal cleanliness and fabric care.
- Inspect all laundered items for cleanliness, damage, and wear, reporting any issues to supervisors.
- Fold, stack, and organize clean linens and towels neatly for distribution to guest rooms and other hotel departments.
- Iron and press staff uniforms and other specific items as required to maintain a professional appearance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry area, including regular cleaning of machinery and work surfaces.
- Manage inventory of laundry supplies, detergents, and chemicals, and report replenishment needs.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and standards within the laundry department.
- Assist with other housekeeping duties as needed to support the overall team operations.
Required Skills
