Key Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry, iron, and fold all hotel linens, towels, and staff uniforms according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Operate and maintain commercial laundry equipment, including industrial washers, dryers, and ironers, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
- Inspect all items for stains, damage, or wear and report any issues promptly to the Laundry Supervisor or Housekeeping Manager.
- Maintain accurate records of laundry processed, chemicals used, and equipment maintenance logs.
- Handle and store laundry chemicals safely and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety regulations.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and sanitary laundry area at all times, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Adhere strictly to all hotel health, safety, and hygiene standards and regulations.
- Assist in the periodic inventory control of linens and laundry supplies.
- Communicate effectively with housekeeping and other hotel departments to ensure timely delivery of clean items.
- Provide excellent service and uphold the hotel's standards of quality and guest satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to operate commercial laundry machinery safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a cooperative team.
- Good physical stamina for standing, lifting, bending, and pushing heavy laundry carts throughout shifts.
