Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain industrial washing, drying, and pressing equipment efficiently and safely.
- Sort and pre-treat soiled linens, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry according to fabric type and stain characteristics.
- Load and unload laundry machines, ensuring correct water temperatures, detergents, and cycles are used.
- Inspect all items for cleanliness, damage, and proper folding/hanging before distribution.
- Perform minor repairs on linens and uniforms as needed, or report major damages to supervisors.
- Maintain accurate records of linen inventory, laundry supplies, and items processed.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and procedures, including proper chemical handling.
- Ensure timely delivery of clean linens to various hotel departments, including housekeeping and food & beverage.
- Handle guest laundry requests with utmost care and confidentiality, ensuring prompt return.
- Keep the laundry area clean, organized, and free from hazards at all times.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the engineering department promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with the housekeeping team and other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience operating commercial laundry equipment.
- Knowledge of various fabric types and appropriate washing techniques.
- Ability to sort, wash, dry, iron, and fold a high volume of laundry.
