Key Responsibilities
- Sort laundry items (linens, towels, uniforms, guest garments) according to color, fabric type, and required washing procedures.
- Operate commercial washing machines, dryers, and ironers efficiently and safely, following manufacturer guidelines and hotel standards.
- Monitor washing and drying cycles, adjusting settings as necessary to achieve optimal cleanliness and fabric care.
- Inspect all laundered items for stains, damage, or wear, and re-process or report as needed.
- Fold, iron, and stack clean linens and towels neatly, preparing them for distribution to guest rooms and other hotel departments.
- Manage and maintain laundry supplies inventory, notifying supervisors when stock levels are low.
- Ensure all laundry equipment is kept clean and in good working order, reporting any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations within the laundry area.
- Assist with other housekeeping duties as required, contributing to a cohesive and efficient team.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.
