Key Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry, iron, and fold all hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry according to established procedures and schedules.
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including industrial washers, dryers, and ironers, ensuring their proper functioning, cleanliness, and preventative maintenance.
- Monitor laundry supplies and report inventory needs to the housekeeping supervisor to ensure adequate stock levels at all times.
- Inspect linens thoroughly for stains, tears, or damage, and report items requiring mending or discarding to maintain quality standards.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and guidelines within the laundry department to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry area, including regular cleaning of machines and workspace to promote efficiency and safety.
- Handle guest laundry requests professionally and discreetly, ensuring timely collection, processing, and accurate return.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues promptly to the appropriate department to minimize downtime.
- Assist with other housekeeping duties as required, contributing to the overall cleanliness and operational efficiency of the hotel.
- Manage time effectively to meet deadlines for linen processing and delivery to various departments, especially during peak periods.
Required Skills

- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift, push, and pull laundry carts weighing up to 50 lbs.
