We are actively seeking a dedicated, meticulous, and reliable Laundry Attendant to join our dynamic hotel department for the critical night shift. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain industrial washing, drying, and ironing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Sort and inspect all linens, towels, and uniforms, identifying items for mending or discarding.
- Load and unload laundry into machines, ensuring proper chemical application and cycle selection.
- Fold, stack, and organize clean laundry, preparing it for distribution to various hotel departments.
- Handle guest laundry requests with discretion, confidentiality, and efficiency, adhering to established procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels of linen and laundry supplies, reporting shortages to management.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and hotel standards.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the laundry area and equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments to meet operational needs and deadlines.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised during night shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and unwavering commitment to quality.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift, push, and pull heavy laundry bags and carts (up to 20kg).
- Basic understanding of laundry equipment operation and chemical handling (training will be provided).
- Reliable, punctual, and possessing a strong, dedicated work ethic.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Good basic communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) in a hotel laundry or similar industrial laundry setting.
- Knowledge of different fabric types and appropriate washing techniques.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and guest service principles.
