Key Responsibilities
- Sort and categorize soiled linens, towels, and uniforms according to fabric type, color, and required wash cycle.
- Operate industrial washing, drying, and ironing machines safely and efficiently, following manufacturer guidelines and hotel procedures.
- Inspect all items for stains, damage, and wear, applying appropriate stain removal techniques and reporting items needing repair or replacement.
- Fold, press, and organize clean linens and uniforms neatly for storage and distribution to various hotel departments.
- Maintain accurate records of linen inventory, including items received, processed, and dispatched.
- Adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation standards to prevent contamination and maintain a clean work environment.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure timely delivery and retrieval of linens.
- Perform routine maintenance on laundry equipment and report any malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
- Assist in maintaining a tidy and organized laundry area, including regular cleaning of machines and surfaces.
