Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial washing, drying, and ironing machines safely and efficiently.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron all hotel linen, including towels, bedsheets, uniforms, and guest laundry.
- Inspect items for stains, damage, or wear and tear, and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Manage inventory of laundry supplies, detergents, and chemicals, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and hotel policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area and equipment.
- Handle delicate garments and special requests with care and precision.
- Assist with delivery and collection of linen to various departments as required.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on laundry machinery and report malfunctions.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and assist colleagues when necessary.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to operate laundry equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively in a busy environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift, and move heavy laundry items.
