Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior scientists and researchers in conducting various experiments and research projects.
- Prepare samples, reagents, solutions, and culture media accurately according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, pH meters, spectrophotometers, and microscopes.
- Accurately record and document experimental data, observations, and results in lab notebooks and electronic systems.
- Perform routine laboratory maintenance, including cleaning glassware, sterilizing equipment, and ensuring a tidy and organized workspace.
- Monitor and manage laboratory supplies, assisting with inventory control and placing orders for consumables.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, hazard waste disposal protocols, and quality control standards.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate complex problems to senior personnel.
- Participate in team meetings, contributing to discussions and learning about ongoing research initiatives.
