Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory tests, analyses, and experiments following established protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Prepare reagents, media, and samples accurately, ensuring proper labeling and storage.
- Maintain meticulous and accurate records of experimental procedures, observations, and results in laboratory notebooks and digital systems.
- Operate, calibrate, and perform basic maintenance on various laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, pH meters, spectrophotometers, and microscopes.
- Ensure strict adherence to laboratory safety guidelines, quality control standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist senior researchers and scientists with experimental setup, data collection, and initial data processing.
- Manage and organize laboratory inventory, including chemicals, reagents, and supplies, and assist with ordering new materials as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and functional laboratory workspace.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medical Laboratory Science, or a closely related scientific field.
- Basic theoretical and practical understanding of fundamental laboratory techniques (e.g., pipetting, titration, sterile technique).
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision in performing tasks and recording data.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
