Key Responsibilities
- Prepare reagents, solutions, and media according to established protocols and precise measurements.
- Perform routine laboratory tests, experiments, and analyses using various scientific instruments.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment, performing minor troubleshooting as needed.
- Accurately record and document experimental data, observations, and results in lab notebooks and electronic systems.
- Assist senior researchers and technicians with experimental setups, data collection, and complex scientific procedures.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines, quality control measures, and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Manage laboratory inventory, including receiving, storing, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock levels.
- Properly and safely handle and dispose of chemical, biological, and other laboratory waste.
- Conduct literature reviews to support ongoing research and assist in initial data interpretation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile working environment to prevent contamination.
- Actively participate in team meetings, contributing to discussions and project planning.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a closely related scientific field.
- Strong foundational knowledge of general laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and safety procedures.
- Proficiency in basic data entry and utilization of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
