Key Responsibilities
- Prepare reagents, media, and solutions accurately for various experiments.
- Perform routine laboratory tests, experiments, and analyses under supervision.
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Record and document experimental data, observations, and results meticulously.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of experiments and research projects.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, quality control standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Manage laboratory inventory, including ordering and stocking supplies.
- Clean and sterilize glassware and other laboratory apparatus.
- Collaborate effectively with senior scientists and other team members.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations of research findings.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field.
- Fundamental knowledge of laboratory techniques and safety procedures.
- Proficiency in basic laboratory equipment operation (e.g., pH meters, centrifuges, spectrophotometers).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks and recording data.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship or entry-level experience in a research or industrial lab setting.
- Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
