Key Responsibilities
- Prepare samples, reagents, and solutions according to established protocols and precise specifications.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate various laboratory equipment, including spectrophotometers, centrifuges, and pH meters, under supervision.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and experiments accurately, following strict standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Record, organize, and maintain detailed and accurate records of experimental data, observations, and results.
- Assist senior researchers and scientists with experimental setup, execution, and data collection.
- Ensure strict adherence to laboratory safety regulations, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and quality control standards.
- Manage laboratory inventory, including ordering supplies, receiving deliveries, and proper storage of materials.
- Conduct routine cleaning and sterilization of laboratory glassware, equipment, and workstations.
- Assist in troubleshooting minor equipment malfunctions and identifying potential issues.
- Contribute to the compilation of preliminary data for reports and presentations.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and skills.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific field.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and aseptic techniques.
