Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring they are calibrated and in optimal working condition.
- Execute experimental procedures and tests as per established protocols and under the guidance of senior researchers.
- Accurately record, compile, and organize experimental data and observations, maintaining meticulous laboratory notebooks.
- Prepare chemical reagents, solutions, and media following precise instructions and safety guidelines.
- Perform routine laboratory tasks, including glassware cleaning, waste disposal, and inventory management.
- Adhere strictly to all laboratory safety protocols, quality control standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the analysis and interpretation of experimental results, contributing to team discussions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory workspace at all times.
Required Skills
- OND/HND/B.Sc. in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Laboratory Science Technology, or a related scientific field.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques and equipment operation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data recording.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work effectively in a team.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to protocols.
