Standard Bank Mozambique is seeking a dynamic Knowledge Management Specialist to join our innovative team in Maputo. As our Knowledge Management Specialist, you will be instrumental in shaping how we capture, organize, share, and leverage our collective intelligence. You will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and continually improving our knowledge management frameworks, systems, and practices. This includes identifying critical knowledge assets, establishing robust governance policies, and deploying user-friendly platforms that empower our employees to easily find, contribute, and utilize vital information. Your work will directly impact our operational efficiency, enhance customer service, and accelerate our ability to innovate and respond to market dynamics. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive knowledge management strategy aligned with Standard Bank Mozambique's strategic objectives.
  • Design, deploy, and manage knowledge management systems and platforms, ensuring user adoption and optimal functionality.
  • Curate, categorize, and organize critical business knowledge, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and easy retrievability.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing across departments and teams through various channels, including communities of practice, workshops, and digital platforms.
  • Establish and enforce knowledge governance policies, standards, and best practices for content creation, storage, and archival.
  • Train and support employees on the effective use of KM tools and methodologies, fostering a knowledge-sharing culture.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of KM initiatives through metrics and feedback, recommending continuous improvements.
  • Collaborate with IT, HR, and other stakeholders to integrate KM solutions with existing business processes and systems.
  • Identify knowledge gaps and opportunities for knowledge capture from internal experts and external sources.
  • Promote innovative approaches to knowledge sharing and collaboration across the organization.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing knowledge management strategies and systems.
  • Strong understanding of information architecture, content management, and data governance principles.
  • Proficiency with knowledge management software and collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence, Microsoft Teams).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of translating complex information into practical solutions.
  • Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Information Science, Library Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certifications in Knowledge Management (e.g., CKM).
  • Experience working in the financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in change management and fostering cultural adoption of new processes.
