Key Responsibilities
- Wash and clean all kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery, and cooking equipment meticulously.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including floors, walls, and storage spaces, adhering to strict hygiene standards.
- Assist with receiving and storing food and non-food deliveries, ensuring proper inventory management and stock rotation.
- Support chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients as needed.
- Operate dishwashing machinery safely and efficiently, ensuring all items are sanitized.
- Properly dispose of waste and recycling materials according to established restaurant procedures and environmental guidelines.
- Ensure continuous compliance with all health, safety, and food handling regulations.
- Assist with general cleaning duties throughout the restaurant premises, including dining areas and restrooms, when required.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the kitchen manager promptly.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights (up to 20kg).
- Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced and demanding kitchen environment.
