Filmhouse Cinemas is seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic Food Service team at our bustling Lekki location. Your role is critical to the smooth functioning of our culinary operations. You will be responsible for upholding rigorous hygiene standards, maintaining kitchen equipment, and assisting with various preparatory tasks. Key Responsibilities
- Wash and sterilize dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using both manual and automated dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen area, including floors, walls, work surfaces, and storage areas, adhering to strict food safety standards.
- Assist with the unloading, organizing, and storage of food and beverage deliveries, ensuring proper rotation and inventory management.
- Dispose of kitchen waste responsibly and efficiently, including general waste, recycling, and food waste.
- Operate and clean kitchen equipment safely and effectively, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Support chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks as required, such as peeling vegetables or portioning ingredients.
- Ensure all cleaning products and equipment are stored safely and correctly.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and company policies.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to cleanliness and organization.
