Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior chefs and cooks with foundational food preparation tasks, including precise washing, peeling, chopping, and careful cutting of various ingredients as per exacting instructions.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils, cookware, and extensive work surfaces are consistently kept in a state of pristine cleanliness and thoroughly sanitized in strict adherence to all health and safety regulations.
- Efficiently wash dishes, pots, pans, and a wide array of other kitchenware, utilizing either manual methods or high-capacity dishwashing machines.
- Provide integral support in the systematic receiving and proper storage of all kitchen supplies, strictly adhering to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles for optimal rotation and meticulous inventory management.
- Actively contribute to maintaining the exemplary cleanliness and organized layout of all dry storage areas, refrigerators, and freezer units.
- Promptly empty trash receptacles and responsibly transport all waste materials to designated disposal areas, ensuring proper waste segregation.
- Rigorously follow all established hygiene protocols and safety regulations to guarantee a consistently safe and impeccably sanitary kitchen environment.
- Offer comprehensive assistance with the efficient setup and organized breakdown of catering events, special dining functions, or banquets as and when required.
