Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing workstations, and cleaning kitchen equipment.
- Store food items properly, ensuring correct rotation and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Receive and unpack deliveries, checking for quality and quantity, and organizing storage areas.
- Empty waste bins and ensure proper waste disposal procedures are followed.
- Support the cooking team by setting up and dismantling workstations as needed.
- Operate basic kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
