Key Responsibilities
- Assist cooks and chefs with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of kitchen workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
- Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment, ensuring all kitchenware, utensils, and crockery are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
- Properly store food items and kitchen supplies according to hygiene and safety standards.
- Help with receiving and organizing deliveries, ensuring accurate stock rotation.
- Dispose of kitchen waste and recycling appropriately and efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP principles).
- Perform general cleaning duties in the kitchen and back-of-house areas as required.
