Job Description

As an experienced Key Account Officer – Corporate Clients at Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank), you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and profitability of our corporate banking portfolio within the vibrant Lekki Phase 2 region. This demanding yet highly rewarding position requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of corporate finance, exceptional relationship management skills, and a proven ability to consistently exceed targets. You will be responsible for meticulously managing a critical portfolio of existing high-value corporate clients, nurturing long-term relationships built on trust, mutual benefit, and a profound understanding of their business objectives. Your proactive engagement will ensure client satisfaction and loyalty, positioning GTBank as their preferred financial partner.

Your primary focus will be on understanding the intricate financial landscapes of your assigned corporate clients. This involves conducting thorough needs assessments, proactively identifying their current and future banking requirements, and strategically positioning GTBank’s comprehensive suite of products and services. These solutions include, but are not limited to, sophisticated treasury solutions, robust trade finance offerings, flexible corporate lending facilities, efficient cash management systems, and cutting-edge digital banking platforms. This requires conducting in-depth financial analyses, preparing compelling and tailored proposals, and skillfully negotiating terms that align with both client needs and the bank’s stringent risk appetite and profitability objectives.

Beyond expertly managing current relationships, a significant aspect of this role involves identifying and acquiring new corporate clients within the rapidly developing Lekki market, thereby expanding GTBank’s footprint and market share. You will be expected to develop and execute effective business development and sales strategies, leveraging your existing network, market intelligence, and industry insights to onboard high-value corporate accounts. This requires a proactive and results-oriented approach to business development, excellent presentation skills, and the ability to articulate complex financial solutions clearly, concisely, and persuasively to C-suite executives and key decision-makers.

This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives in a target-driven and dynamic environment, possesses strong analytical capabilities, and is passionate about building enduring partnerships that contribute significantly to the bank’s overarching corporate objectives. You will report directly to the Head of Corporate Banking and be instrumental in shaping our corporate client engagement strategy for sustained growth.
