Job Description

As a Junior Supply Chain Analyst at Career.supersecrets, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our clients’ supply chain optimization initiatives from a remote setting based in Kisumu, Kisumu County. This full-time position is an exceptional opportunity for an analytical and detail-oriented individual to dive deep into supply chain data, identify trends, and contribute to strategies that enhance efficiency and reduce costs. You will work closely with senior analysts and client teams, leveraging your quantitative skills to analyze complex datasets, develop forecasting models, and propose actionable insights. While working remotely, you’ll be an integral part of a collaborative team, contributing to projects that have a tangible impact on business performance. Your work will involve everything from tracking inventory levels and monitoring logistics performance to assisting in the implementation of new supply chain technologies and processes. Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets related to supply chain operations (e.g., inventory levels, logistics, procurement, demand forecasting).
  • Assist in identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement within client supply chain processes.
  • Support the development and implementation of forecasting models and analytical tools to enhance decision-making.
  • Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations to internal teams and clients.
  • Collaborate with senior analysts and client stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical tasks.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track supply chain performance against targets.
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of new supply chain technologies and solutions.
  • Contribute to ongoing process documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, SQL).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
  • Familiarity with basic supply chain concepts (e.g., inventory management, logistics, procurement).
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of supply chain software systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS).
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis or programming languages (e.g., R, Python) for data analysis.
  • Certification in supply chain (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) or project management (e.g., CAPM).
  • Previous internship or entry-level experience in supply chain, logistics, or data analysis.
