Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior coaches in the meticulous planning and enthusiastic delivery of engaging sports coaching sessions for individuals and diverse groups.
- Lead invigorating warm-ups, effective cool-downs, and specific skill-building drills, consistently ensuring proper technique and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Provide constructive, clear, and encouraging feedback to participants to foster continuous skill development and boost their self-confidence.
- Help maintain a consistently positive, inclusive, and fun atmosphere throughout all training activities and events.
- Proactively monitor participants' progress and adeptly adapt coaching methods to meet their diverse needs, abilities, and learning styles.
- Ensure all sports equipment is safely and correctly set up, regularly maintained, and stored properly after each session.
- Actively promote the crucial principles of fair play, exemplary sportsmanship, and effective teamwork among all participants.
- Strictly adhere to all established safety protocols and emergency procedures to ensure the well-being of everyone involved.
- Communicate clearly, effectively, and respectfully with participants, their parents, and all colleagues.
- Assist with essential administrative tasks, including accurate attendance tracking and comprehensive session reporting.
- Actively participate in ongoing training and professional development workshops to enhance coaching expertise.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge and understanding of various popular sports rules and techniques (e.g., football, basketball, athletics).
- Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills, particularly when engaging with children and young adults.
- Strong organizational abilities and proven capability to effectively manage groups of varying sizes and ages.
- An enthusiastic, energetic, and patient demeanor that inspires and motivates others.
- A steadfast commitment to creating and maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
- Basic first aid certification or a strong willingness to obtain one promptly upon hire.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
Preferred Qualifications
