Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas within the university campus, including academic buildings, residential halls, and public spaces, both on foot and via vehicle.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect and report suspicious activities or potential security threats.
- Control access points to the campus and specific buildings, ensuring only authorized personnel and visitors gain entry.
- Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, emergencies, and disturbances, following established protocols.
- Enforce university rules and regulations, as well as state and national laws, to maintain order and safety.
- Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports, daily logs, and other required documentation.
- Assist in crowd control during events, examinations, and large gatherings on campus.
- Provide assistance and direction to students, staff, and visitors as needed, embodying a helpful and professional demeanor.
- Collaborate with senior security personnel and other university departments to enhance overall campus security measures.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to improve security knowledge and skills.
Required Skills
- Minimum of Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent.
