Key Responsibilities
- Accurately identifying patients and verifying collection information according to established protocols.
- Performing venipuncture with precision and care, minimizing patient discomfort and ensuring proper sample collection under direct supervision during initial training phases.
- Preparing and labeling blood samples for laboratory analysis, ensuring integrity and proper documentation.
- Maintaining a sterile and safe work environment, adhering strictly to infection control and safety guidelines.
- Providing compassionate and professional patient care, including explaining procedures clearly and addressing patient concerns.
- Monitoring and maintaining phlebotomy equipment and supplies, reporting any malfunctions or shortages.
- Assisting in maintaining accurate patient records and logs of samples collected.
- Collaborating effectively with nurses, doctors, and laboratory staff to ensure seamless workflow and timely sample processing.
- Participating actively in ongoing training and professional development sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Adhering to all local and international healthcare regulations and ethical standards.
