Career.supersecrets is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Junior Laundry Supervisor to join the team at one of our prestigious hotel partners in Oyingbo, Yaba. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual with foundational experience in laundry operations and a passion for hospitality to step into a supervisory role. As a Junior Laundry Supervisor, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the impeccable cleanliness and timely delivery of all hotel linens, guest garments, and staff uniforms, directly contributing to an outstanding guest experience. You will be instrumental in maintaining the high standards of hygiene and efficiency that our hotel partners are known for, working closely with the head supervisor and laundry team members. This position offers a unique chance to grow your leadership skills, understand complex operational logistics, and contribute to the seamless functioning of a dynamic hotel environment. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily laundry operations, including sorting, washing, drying, ironing, and folding of linens and uniforms.
- Supervise and train junior laundry attendants, ensuring adherence to established procedures and quality standards.
- Monitor inventory of laundry supplies, chemicals, and equipment, reporting needs to the Senior Supervisor.
- Perform routine checks on laundry machinery and report any malfunctions or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations within the laundry department.
- Handle guest laundry requests and ensure timely and accurate delivery, maintaining meticulous records.
- Assist in scheduling staff and assigning daily tasks to optimize productivity and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the laundry area at all times.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a commercial or hotel laundry operation.
- Basic understanding of laundry machinery and chemical usage.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks requiring lifting, standing, and bending for extended periods.
