Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of laundry attendants, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timelines.
- Oversee the collection, sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and distribution of all hotel linens, towels, and uniforms.
- Operate and maintain industrial laundry equipment, performing minor troubleshooting and reporting major issues promptly.
- Conduct quality checks on all laundered items to ensure they meet hygiene and presentation standards.
- Manage inventory of laundry supplies, chemicals, and linen stock, placing orders as needed to prevent shortages.
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations within the laundry department.
- Assist in scheduling staff shifts and assigning duties to ensure optimal coverage and productivity.
- Train new laundry staff on proper procedures, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of linen usage, damaged items, and operational reports.
