Key Responsibilities
- Sort laundry items (linen, towels, uniforms, guest clothing) according to fabric type, color, and required washing instructions.
- Operate washing, drying, and ironing machines safely and efficiently, adhering to established procedures.
- Inspect all items for stains or damage before and after washing, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
- Fold, hang, and neatly organize clean laundry, ensuring proper storage and inventory management.
- Assist with the delivery of fresh linen to various departments and collection of soiled items.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the laundry area and equipment.
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards diligently.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
- Support senior laundry staff with ad-hoc tasks as required to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere strictly to hotel policies and procedures regarding guest privacy and property.
