Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping staff to ensure high standards of cleanliness and service are consistently met across all hotel areas.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas regularly to ensure adherence to cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation standards.
- Oversee the inventory, storage, and proper use of cleaning supplies, equipment, and linen.
- Identify, document, and perform minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, tightening loose fixtures, and other basic repairs.
- Report larger maintenance issues promptly to the senior maintenance team and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
- Assist in the scheduling of housekeeping staff to optimize coverage and efficiency, especially during peak periods.
- Handle guest requests and complaints regarding housekeeping or minor maintenance issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Conduct regular checks of all hotel facilities to ensure safety compliance and report any hazards.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, completed tasks, and supplies.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment, fostering teamwork and professional development among staff.
- Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in housekeeping or a related supervisory role, preferably within a hotel setting.
- Basic knowledge of general maintenance and repair techniques (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry basics).
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
