Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planting, pruning, weeding, and mulching of various plants, shrubs, and trees.
- Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment safely and efficiently, including mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
- Water plants, lawns, and gardens according to established schedules and specific plant requirements.
- Monitor plant health, identifying and reporting any signs of pests, diseases, or nutritional deficiencies.
- Prepare soil beds, apply fertilizers, and carry out other soil amendment tasks as directed.
- Assist with landscape installations, including laying sod, planting new features, and minor hardscaping.
- Ensure the tidiness, cleanliness, and aesthetic appeal of all garden areas and surrounding landscapes.
- Learn and strictly adhere to all company safety procedures and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate effectively with team members and take direction from senior gardeners and project leads.
- Perform general clean-up duties on job sites after completion of work.
