Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and upgrading of database servers and applications (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
- Monitor database performance, availability, and security, reporting any anomalies or issues to senior DBAs.
- Perform routine database maintenance tasks such as backups, recoveries, and integrity checks.
- Support in implementing and testing disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
- Help troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, working closely with other IT teams.
- Assist with user access management and enforce database security policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Contribute to the ongoing optimization of database performance and resource utilization.
- Participate in learning and development initiatives to enhance database administration skills.
- Collaborate with application development teams to support database design and deployment activities.
Required Skills
- Foundational understanding of relational database management systems (RDBMS) concepts.
