Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior cooks and chefs in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and dicing vegetables and meats.
  • Follow recipes and cooking instructions accurately to ensure consistency and quality of all food items.
  • Operate various kitchen equipment such as fryers, grills, and ovens safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness, including regular cleaning of workstations, utensils, and equipment.
  • Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management, reporting shortages to the kitchen supervisor.
  • Receive and store deliveries in accordance with food safety guidelines.
  • Assist in portioning food items and plating dishes for customer orders.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of food.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service during peak hours.
  • Participate in daily kitchen briefings and contribute to a positive team environment.
