Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT and Cloud Administrator to join our dynamic team in Paris. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the seamless operation, maintenance, and optimization of our IT infrastructure and cloud environments. This includes managing servers, networks, virtualized platforms, and cloud services (primarily AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform). You will play a crucial part in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our systems, supporting our internal teams and contributing directly to our service delivery excellence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, a proactive problem-solving approach, and a passion for staying ahead of technological advancements in both on-premise and cloud ecosystems. Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and support Windows and Linux server environments, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS EC2, S3, RDS; Azure VMs, Storage, SQL DBs) and services.
- Perform regular system backups, recovery operations, and disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Implement and enforce security policies and best practices across all IT and cloud assets.
- Monitor system health, performance, and resource utilization, responding to alerts and resolving incidents promptly.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) and configuration management tools.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to deploy and manage applications and services in cloud environments.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and internal teams.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical system support, as required.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in IT infrastructure and cloud computing.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT administration or a similar role.
- Proficiency in administering Windows Server and/or Linux operating systems.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Firewalls).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with scripting for automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, MCSA, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Azure Administrator Associate).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Familiarity with ITIL framework.
