Key Responsibilities
- Operate various ironing and pressing equipment safely and efficiently, including steam irons, flatwork ironers, and garment presses.
- Sort and inspect garments and linens for proper cleaning, pre-existing damage, and suitability for ironing.
- Iron a wide range of fabrics, including cotton, silk, linen, synthetics, and blends, ensuring a flawless, wrinkle-free finish.
- Identify and skillfully treat stubborn wrinkles or creases, applying appropriate techniques.
- Fold, hang, and package finished items neatly and according to specific client or company standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the ironing station and entire work area.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and operational guidelines and procedures.
