Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders and identifying any discrepancies.
  • Organize and stock inventory in designated locations, ensuring proper labeling and accessibility.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through timely and precise data entry into inventory management systems.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts (cycle counts and physical inventories) and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Assist in preparing outgoing shipments, ensuring items are correctly picked, packed, and labeled.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or overages to management.
  • Ensure the warehouse/storage area remains clean, organized, and safe at all times.
  • Operate basic material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) safely and efficiently, if required.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize inventory processes and improve efficiency.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent (KCSE certificate).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic computer literacy (e.g., proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and move packages up to 25 kg.
  • Proactive and eager to learn new processes and systems.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A certificate or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (even if no experience).
  • Familiarity with basic inventory concepts or warehouse operations (though not required).
  • Experience using inventory management software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (beneficial but not essential).
