Career.supersecrets is seeking a highly organised and empathetic International Talent Relocation & Visa Specialist to join our dynamic team in Glasgow. This pivotal role is at the heart of our commitment to attracting and seamlessly integrating global talent into the Scottish workforce. You will be responsible for managing the entire visa sponsorship and accommodation process for our international candidates, ensuring compliance with UK immigration laws and providing a smooth, welcoming transition for individuals embarking on new careers in Scotland. Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end visa application processes for international candidates, including Skilled Worker visas, Global Talent visas, and other relevant categories.
- Act as the primary point of contact for candidates regarding visa sponsorship, immigration queries, and comprehensive relocation support.
- Ensure strict compliance with all UK Home Office immigration rules, regulations, and reporting requirements for sponsored workers.
- Coordinate and facilitate accommodation arrangements for incoming international talent, working effectively with local providers and ensuring suitability.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive visa applications and supporting documentation, ensuring all information is accurate, complete, and submitted within critical deadlines.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to candidates and internal stakeholders on complex immigration policies, processes, and expected timelines.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all visa applications, sponsorship details, and communication logs within our secure systems.
- Develop and update internal processes, guidelines, and resources related to international recruitment, visa sponsorship, and relocation support.
- Collaborate closely with recruitment consultants, HR teams, and external legal advisors to ensure a cohesive and compliant international hiring strategy.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in UK immigration law, visa application processes, and compliance management.
- Excellent understanding of the UK immigration system, particularly the Skilled Worker visa route and associated sponsorship duties.
- Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in managing complex documentation.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining complex information clearly and empathetically to diverse individuals.
- Ability to manage multiple cases concurrently, prioritise effectively, and work efficiently under pressure.
- Proficiency in using immigration case management software and advanced features of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- High level of cultural sensitivity, discretion, and a genuine desire to support international talent through significant life transitions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Law, Human Resources, International Relations, or a related relevant field.
- OISC (Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner) accreditation at Level 1 or higher.
- Experience working in a recruitment agency or an in-house talent acquisition team with a significant focus on international hires.
- Established knowledge of the Glasgow and broader Scottish housing market and local amenities for new arrivals.
