We are actively seeking a highly motivated, analytical, and results-oriented Industrial Engineer to join our thriving operations team at our advanced manufacturing facility in Sharjah. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in optimizing our intricate production processes, enhancing overall operational efficiency, strategically reducing costs, and significantly improving productivity across various departments within our aluminium fabrication enterprise. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and meticulously evaluate existing production processes, workflows, and plant layouts to identify critical areas for improvement in terms of efficiency, cost-effectiveness, quality, and safety.
- Develop, propose, and implement comprehensive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma strategies to systematically eliminate waste, reduce cycle times, and significantly improve overall operational performance.
- Conduct thorough time and motion studies, work sampling, and other advanced analytical techniques to establish optimal work standards, improve labor utilization, and balance production lines.
- Design and implement highly efficient workspace layouts, strategic equipment placement, and optimized material flow systems to maximize production capacity and minimize material handling costs and time.
- Develop, meticulously monitor, and rigorously report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to accurately track operational efficiency, productivity, quality metrics, and project progress.
- Collaborate extensively with production managers, quality control teams, and R&D departments to proactively identify process bottlenecks and develop innovative, sustainable solutions.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, analytical findings, and compelling presentations outlining observations, recommendations, and comprehensive implementation plans for senior management review.
- Lead and actively participate in continuous improvement projects from initiation to closure, ensuring strict adherence to project timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
- Utilize advanced simulation software and robust data analysis tools to accurately model, analyze, and predict the potential impact of proposed process changes before implementation.
- Develop and deliver effective training programs for production employees on new processes, tools, and lean methodologies to foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies (Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping)
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and advanced problem-solving skills, with a rigorous data-driven approach
- Extensive experience with process mapping, industrial layout design, and optimization tools
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, R, Python) and data visualization tools
- Exceptional project management, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a diverse cross-functional team
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills (both verbal and written in English)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software for layout design and technical drawings
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related engineering field
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Demonstrated experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) in a manufacturing context
- PMP certification or proven experience in applying project management methodologies
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001)
- Prior experience specifically within the aluminium fabrication or heavy manufacturing industry
- Fluency in Arabic is a plus, but not mandatory
