Magic Garden is seeking a talented and innovative Immersive Media Designer to join our dynamic team in Paris. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in conceptualizing, designing, and bringing to life captivating immersive experiences for a diverse range of clients and projects. This includes everything from augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) applications to interactive installations, projection mapping, and extended reality (XR) environments. You will work closely with our creative directors, technical developers, animators, and project managers to transform initial concepts into fully realized, engaging user journeys. Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design, and prototype engaging immersive experiences for AR, VR, mixed reality, and interactive installations.
- Develop detailed storyboards, user flows, wireframes, and visual designs specific to immersive environments.
- Create 3D models, textures, animations, and visual effects optimized for real-time immersive platforms.
- Collaborate closely with technical developers to ensure design feasibility and optimal implementation.
- Conduct user testing and gather feedback to iterate and refine immersive experiences, focusing on usability and impact.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends, technologies, and tools in immersive media, spatial computing, and interactive design.
- Present design concepts and prototypes effectively to internal teams and clients, articulating design rationale.
- Contribute to the overall creative strategy and innovation initiatives for immersive projects.
- Manage design assets and ensure consistency across various project components and platforms.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in 3D design software (e.g., Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D, Substance Painter).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in immersive design, interactive installations, AR/VR, or experiential design.
- Familiarity with game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine for prototyping and development.
- Excellent understanding of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) principles specific to immersive environments.
- Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and visualize complex interactive systems.
- Strong visual design skills, including typography, color theory, and composition.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interaction Design, Digital Media, Fine Arts, Computer Graphics, or a related field.
